These watch designs re-imagine time. AboutTime changes every five to ten minutes approximately indicating the exact moment. Pips turns digital time into a symmetric die, and Dial flows time in a circle. Someday these designs will be available on the Apple Watch, but for now, you can enjoy as a floating desktop watch in your browser.

How to install: Click on any link to launch a pop-up window (make sure your browser allows pop-ups). Re-size the watch face with the browser's view>zoom function, and then drag the pop-up window's edges to fit. Finally, drag the watch anywhere on the desktop.

(HINT: Some browsers like Chrome will zoom ALL tabs when you just want to shrink one window. You can often work around this limitation by opening this web page in an INCOGNITO/PRIVATE window)

 

I also like "jump hour" and "wandering hour" watches, but find the numeral's dimension to be too small. It should scream jump hour! One potential solution overlaps the numerals, and sorts them out with optical filters (dichoric or comb). Two quick proofs of concept below:
